VISIT
IN LOVING MEMORY OF EDDIE GUERRERO
Messages from Eddie official Website
~ Please accept my condolences on the loss of Eddie. My thoughts and prayers are
with you in this most difficult time. I was deeply saddened when I learned that
Eddie had passed away. I have been watching him since I seen his first
appearance in WCW and all through his time in the WWE, and even though his fans
will no longer be able to turn on the television or buy tickets to see this
great man doing what he did best, he will always be in our memories.
Sincerely, Joey Akers
~ Hi my name is Karen and I'm from Germany. I'm so sad about what happened! I
still couldn't believe that Eddie has passed away!!! My biggest dream was to see
Eddie wrestle but my dream has never and will never come true. I was watching
him on TV and I was laughing all the time because the things that he did and the
way he talked was so funny. It doesn't matter if he was heel or not I just
wanted to see him. It's a very huge loss for the WWE, the fans and most
important for the family. He was a special person and that's why it makes so
hard that Eddie has died! When you saw Eddie wrestle you could see that he loved
the buisness, he loved what he did. Every time he was in the ring he gave the
best. It makes me sad that I've never had the chance to get to now him. But in
all the videos and interviews you saw how much he loved to wrestle, he loved to
perform and give the best for all the fans, he loved his friends *his
familia* and most of all he loved his wife and daugthers!!! You could learn so
much from him. Not only in wrestling but also in real lifel. I stop here cos
there's so much to tell about Eddie Guerrero. I just want to let his family know
that my thoughts and condolence are with them!!! Eddie I miss you, I love, I
will always love you, you're always in our hearts and I'm sure that we meet in
the future! Thank you for all the time we've had together!!!
~ I am writing from Grand Junction CO. I had the extreme pleasure of seeing
Eddie in Colorado Springs in 2003 at a Smackdown show. My daughters loved and
hated Eddie. They loved the cars, hated the mullet. We did run into him in the
parking lot before the show and he was absolutley one of the nicest guys to my
kids I ever met. He signed autographs for them and then high fived my older
daughter at the show that night. My youngest daughter who was 2 1/2 at that time
did not get to go with us. She did like to call him "greasy guy". We thought it
was really funny. She really liked Eddie. She would do a little dance whenever
the "Latino Heat" song came on. We will miss him and again our family is so
sorry for your loss. With much love, Todd Braley & Family Grand Junction, CO.
~ I will keep you all in our prayers. I remember Eddie when he was with Mid
South Wrestling in Dallas, Texas. My husband and I now have 5 children and 1
grand baby, We would like to know if there has been a trust fund set up for the
Guerrero family? If not we would love to start one up. God Bless! Fans of Eddie

~ When I heard about passing of Eddie I was in total disbelief. I have grown up
watching the superstar. He was an inspiration to us all and he will truly be
missed. The will never be another Latino Heat! We love you Eddie always and
forever. To the family: Things seem to happen when you least expect it but
remember God does everything for a reason and now there is a superstar is in
heaven awaiting our arrival to meet him again. Keep your head up and all the
fans love and support you all. Keep God in your heart and your faith strong. I'm
praying for all of you.
~ My husband and I watch WWE every week and have for almost 6 years now. I must
say that Eddie was one of the most amazing performers they have and he is going
to be dearly missed. The way he was able to get the audience to eat out of his
hands just by the first couple notes of his theme music was simply magical. As
an outsider, watching on television, you could see the zest he had for his
career. He was a natural, he was meant to be in that ring. My husband and I
watched Raw Monday night and were simply moved to tears. The tributes they aired
were beautiful and they have been just as beautiful tonight on SmackDown. The
wrestling world lost a true legend. Eddie, you will never be forgotten!!
We miss you Papi!!

~ I am so very sorry for your loss. Not only was it a loss for his family, it
was a loss for his fans. I am a devoted wrestling fan and Eddie was one of my
favorites. I was taken completely back when I read about it in the newspaper. He
will be truly missed by millions of people. My thoughts and prayers are with you
and the family. Viva La Rasa!! (Spelling may be off J ) Long live Eddie!! Denise

~ I personally believe that Eddie was one of the best performers in wrestling
history. He was entertaining, clever, funny and a great athlete. It deeply
saddens me that I will never see him perform live at Staples center in Los
Angeles again. He brought so much energy to the crowd. "Eddie, Eddie, Eddie" the
crowd would chant and go wild when he would walk down the aisle to the ring. He
was a man that was proud of his ethnicity and culture and was not ashamed to
display his mexican roots. I am a 27 year old grown man and I am proud to admit
that he was my super hero. Eddie Guerrero will be missed but never forgotten.
Rest in Peace Eddie. Rene Bolanos
~ I am truly sorry for your loss. Eddie was a great wrestler. I always enjoyed
watching him. I was so hoping the news was false. My kids really liked him also,
it was hard for me to tell them. Please know you and your family are in my
thoughts and prayers. May God be with you through this extremely tough time.

~ My greatest remorse goes out to you and your family. Your husband Eddie was a
true entertainer for the WWE fans. No words will heal your loss but I only wish
in time that the memories of your Husband and Father will continue to be a
strong as it was on the first day that he made you smile. Heaven gained a strong
man, but the earth lost a true individual that was a testament that people could
change if they had the heart and the well to do so. To your family, I am sadden
for your lost and would like to share with you my heart to keep your family warm
for the years to come. Sincerely K. Rich May the Latino Heat burn on. A true
entertainer
~ First of all I wish to offer my condolences to the family and friends of Eddie
Guerrero. I have watched Eddie for many years as he played the hero and the
enemy but has never failed to astonish the fans of the WWE. I pray that you will
all make it through this difficult time with as much ease as possible. May God
be with you all as he has been with Eddie for so many years. The WWE will never
be the same without his spirit, his smile and his showmanship. Eddie helped the
WWE grow to what it is today in and out of the ring. God bless all of you and
may you find the peace of mind you so desperately need in this tragic time. By

~ Eddie Guerrero was a very talented athlete in WWE. He has made people laugh,
made people cry, made a change in people?s lives. Hearing about him passed away

and to the rest of the Guerrero family. And just to tell Eddie, thank you for

~ Requiem For A Champion By Mike Alonso (cholo, lowrider, law student) New
College of California, School of Law, San Francisco Eddie Guerrero died Sunday
night. To some, he was a rampant stereotype of a supermacho-Chicano male who
constantly lied, cheated, and stole his way to the top. To us, his fans, his
admirers, he was our Eddie. Alot can be said about a man whose career and life
went through leaps and bounds like his. Alot can be said about a man who we can
call "our Eddie". How can a man whose one-sided creed reads like that of a
superficial sociopath become so beloved in our community. Eddie, the man, and
Eddie, the character, were not much different from each other. Both were complex
individuals who struggled and survived, did the unthinkable to made it to the
top in a world that made us its enemy. We loved Eddie when he was a good guy, we
loved him even more when he was the bad guy. If anything, we loved him because
he represented us-in all our glory and all our faults, a community with a proud
history and heritage, yet ripped and beaten by the rotten hand of social
reality. When he was on the mat he embodied just that, proud but with a big chip
on his shoulders. My best friend and I saw Eddie awhile back in the Cow Palace
in San Francisco. He was fighting for the WWE Championship against Brock Lesnar.
We knew the score. It was almost 30 years since Pedro Morales last walked away
with the title. Dare we dream that our time should come that night at the Cow
Palace? I walked through the gates wearing my Mexican flag bandana across my
forehead and an EZLN t-shirt. My friend wore his sarape and held the Mexican
flag across his shoulders. We are just two crazy Chicanos from Daly City. But
when we saw Eddie walk into the ring, we felt like we were 12 years old again.
We knew we were in the presence of greatness. He was brash, he was bold, he was
cocky. But if you looked around that night, you saw Mexican flags being flown by
proud brown fathers and sons, mothers and daughters. A whole people looked
toward Eddie to give us that one moment in time where we can see ourselves
acheiving our dreams no matter what the costs, no matter what the obstacles. And
Eddie did not disappoint. He won that night, but a whole community walked away
feeling like "we won". Should he have lost, aside from the riot that would have
followed, we would have said that "we lost". Thats how close our bond was to
him. He was the most perfect imperfection, a realistic fantasy. A Chicano who
knew the rules, and broke every goddamn one of them. Our Chicano leadership, our
college boys and girls can learn alot from Eddie Guerrero. They should learn
that its okay to have faults, and its even better to show them; do not run away
from the truth. They can also learn that respect from a community is hard fought
and must be earned in the battlefield, not with news conferences making deals
with local politicians, but fighting in the face of adversity, screaming loud
and proud with a brown fist in the air "Viva La Raza"!!! Don't be jealous, and
DO NOT CALL HIM "JUST A WRESTLER". He was our Eddie, through thick and thin. My
father use to tell me when I was a kid that God always took the good people
first. Its hard to think of many latinos in the mainstream whom I would think as
a good person, but only one I can call "our Eddie." Rest in peace, Champ, we all
search for it but you beat us to it. VIVA LA RAZA!!!! VIVA EDDIE GUERRERO!!!
VIVA THE CHAMPION OF AZTLAN!!!
